The era of Trusted Computing is at hand. With the Trusted Platform Module ( TPM, from Wave Systems Corp. ), critical information will be stored on the harddrive, making it impossible to retrieve without the proper key to get into it. The DOD has mandated Trusted computing. No more stealing Social Security Numbers, bank info, etc. When implemented, we can all feel comfortable about info we don’t want stolen.
