UK Plans to Centralize Cybersecurity

Prime Minister Gordon Brown of the UK announced the creation of a new national cybersecurity center  by the end of this month.

Cybersecurity currently falls under multiple agencies, including the Serious Organized Crime Agency and the Metropolitan Police e-crime unit.

The initiative is part of a u-turn in the UK government’s national strategy and an attempt to centralize cybersecurity, as described by the Guardian.

SAIC Releases Global Cybersecurity Model

The Science Applications International Corporation and the Supply Chain Management Center at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business published the Building A Cyber Supply Chain Assurance Reference Model today.

The white paper approves President Barack Obama’s newfound emphasis on cybersecurity, and is the first to analyze how to secure end-to-end supply-chain encounters on the Internet.
