The American Chemistry Council has published  a report stressing that companies must focus on cyber security in emerging geographical manufacturing sectors, such as Asia. The report, titled “Cyber Security in Emerging Geographies”, calls on companies to increase cyber security in order to secure intellectual property and data privacy.

The report breaks down the emerging sectors into Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. The report gives helpful overviews of US export compliance regulations, levels of corruption in the studied regions, the regulations on security protocols in host nations, and government views regarding cryptography in the region.
