Google Helps Compromised Websites

Google has created a new feature that helps to combat infected websites.

The feature informs site administrators of infection and provides samples of the infected code along with suggestions on how to clean the site of malicious code.

In the past, Google scanned websites for possible infection and reported those results in the search tool, along with providing admins with a list of infected sites. However, this new initiative provides samples of the possible code used by hackers to infect the sites, which admins can receive automatically by logging into Google’s webmaster tools section.

Google is seeking to help sites that are not intentionally infected remove any malicious code from their website.
