Members of Congrss Call for Cyber Security Review

Members of the House of Representatives called for a comprehensive review of cyber security policies for Congress on Friday. The push for a review follows the recent revelations that a confidential report of the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct was leaked on the internet via peer-to-peer file sharing software.

The report, from July, listed several democrat representatives who were under investigation for ties to a lobbying firm. The breach happened when a junior employee accessed the report on his home computer that had peer-to-peer software installed. The document was subsequently shared and leaked on the internet. The staff member has since been fired.
