Overhaul Cyber Security in US says Report

A report released by the Internet Security Alliance has called for an extensive overhaul of US cyber security efforts. The report suggested that the federal government should provide economic incentives to companies to increase cyber security.

The ISA report also called for the creation of international collaboration centers for cyber security, new VoIP standards and increased educational efforts for private sector leaders. Interestingly, some people in industry actually believe they are the leaders in thinking about cyber security. At a recent conference which featured Mischel Kwon, former director of US CERT, several industry leaders highlighted their belief that they are on the cutting edge of boosting cyber security.
