Melissa Hathaway to Serve on Terremark Board of Directors

Melissa Hathaway has been elected to the board of directors at Terremark Worldwide, Inc., a provider of managed IT services.

“During my time working in the federal government, I became very impressed with Terremark’s innovative solutions, its team of experts and its future prospects,” Hathaway said. “In particular, I believe that providing security solutions as part of the cloud infrastructure is important to our future and Terremark is well positioned to lead industry with its services and world-class information security specialists.”

Hathaway is a senior adviser at Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center and president of Hathaway Global Strategies. She has also served in two administrations, including the present Obama administration, where she was the acting senior director for cyberspace in the National Security Council. She led the Cyberspace Policy Review, which advocated for the creation of a cybersecurity coordinator position that has since been filled by Howard Schmidt.
