Russian authorities have arrested a 40-year-old unemployed hacker in the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk who broadcast pornography over a large television screen outside in Moscow, according to an article on TheRegister.co.uk. Individuals walking or driving in the area were ‘treated’ to two minutes of pornographic material featuring “a white male and a black female having sex”.
At 11 pm on January 14, a large video screen display in Garden Ring Road depicted the pornographic video. Passersby snapped pictures with their camera phones. The company that runs the screen said last month “Most likely, a commercial video was replaced with an adult one when the control computer was hacked.”
According to an authority spokesman, “The hacker replaced one of the commercial video files on the playlist with an adult video. He said that he decided to hack a resource in Chechnya because he was certain that the police would never go there for investigation. Employees of the company said that they did not even know that their official website had been hacked. Our agents collected the required information and left for Russia’s Krasnodar region, where the hacker was detected and arrested.”
