CSC Brings in Former Office of the President CIO to Beef Up Cyber Capabilities
CSC, a global provider of technology-based solutions and services, has named Carlos C. Solari as vice president, cyber technology and services.
Solari will manage CSC’s development of technologies and solutions for cybersecurity. He will also manage the delivery of cybersecurity services and solutions to public and private sector clients.
Solari will report to Samuel S. Visner, lead executive for cyber and vice president for strategy and business development of the North American Public Sector Enforcement, Security and Intelligence Group.
“CSC has some of the most wide-ranging and powerful cybersecurity solutions and services for our clients around the world, and Carlos has an impressive record in the development of cyber capabilities,” Visner said. “His international experience and recognition will help CSC strengthen our position in the global cyber market.”
Solari has more than 30 years in the IT arena. Recently, he held senior executive positions with Alcatel-Lucent. He previously served as CIO at the Executive Office of the President.
He also coauthored a book on cybersecurity titled Security in a Web 2.0+ World: A Standards-Based Approach.
