Harris to Support Air Force Cybersecurity

Last week, Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) won a $12 million Enterprise Security Support (ESS) contract to provide cybersecurity to the command and control systems of Headquarters Air Mobility Command (AMC).

Under the contract, Harris will provide security support to 13 information technology systems. This support will include network penetration testing, system certification and accreditation, DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) document creation and validation, host- based system auditing and secure code validation.

“Harris has been a trusted information assurance provider to the Air Mobility Command for more than a decade, supporting vital missions and humanitarian relief at home and around the world,” said Mike Deloney, vice president, Air Force Programs, Harris IT Services. “Working in close partnership with our customer, we will relentlessly counter any threat to the security of the AMC’s key command and control information systems.”

Also last week, Harris announced the opening of a new Cyber Integration Center within the DC Metropolitan area.
