Jobs Site in UK Gets Hacked
Jobs sites run by Trinity Mirror Group have been hacked, according to a blog post by the company. JobSearch.co.uk and jobs.mirror.co.uk were both hacked on May 19.
“Our security systems have detected a concerted and sophisticated attempt this afternoon to hack into user accounts on our technology platform,” according to the post. “We are urgently investigating whether they have obtained any data but can confirm that no CV records have been accessed. However as a precaution we have temporarily suspended all user accounts to investigate further in case any email addresses or passwords have been compromised.”
As a result, the jobs board has issued new passwords to users.
“We recommend that you do not reuse passwords on multiple sites,” the post reads. “If your password with us has been used elsewhere we recommend, as a precaution, that you change it as soon as possible.”
