Civil Systems Division (CSD), within Northrop Grumman Information Systems (NGIS) sector with annual sales in excess of $2 billion, is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to support the growth of the division; specifically the thought leadership, market shaping and customer relationships within the civil cyber security market. This leader will be responsible for meeting both the strategic goal positioning Northrop Grumman as the industry leader in this market, and the tactical goal of shaping and supporting individual RFPs resulting in industry first quartile win rates and revenue streams. The position requires an in depth knowledge of the civil cyber security market, across multiple civil agencies, as well as the interrelationship with the defense and intelligence markets. The candidate must have senior level experience within the customer set. The ability to understand the customer’s vision and be respected as an influential thought leader in the marketplace, should be demonstrated through a history of speaking engagements, published papers, participation in industry panels, or equivalent market shaping opportunities. The insight to accurately assess the strategic and tactical direction of the market, meld it with the CSD division’s Long Range Strategic Plan and current capabilities is essential. The candidate will be asked to contribute to the group’s strategic planning, recommend potential IR&D projects, provide insight into strategic partnerships and alliances, and lead activities that will enhance Northrop Grumman’s success in this market. The candidate must have the ability to effectively collaborate across organizations, internal to the CSD division, across the NGIS sector and with other sectors within NG, reporting to multiple senior leadership within a matrix organization. Specific responsibilities include leading all marketing and business development activities associated with maintaining a thought leadership position; developing and maintaining customer relationships through the execution of a comprehensive call plan; authoring white papers and other communications that demonstrate a deep understanding of customer issues and Northrop Grumman solutions; identification, shaping, qualification and pursuit of new business opportunities, specifically those that are 18 months and beyond from when the opportunity is expected to materialize; recommend appropriate alliances and teaming partnerships; provide timely and insightful reviews to senior management based upon policies and procedures; consensus building with appropriate members of the executing organizations; and facilitating smooth transitions to the appropriate business developers. As a member of senior leadership, the candidate will participate in a senior incentive program, measured by the growth of cyber market related revenue and pipeline for the CSD division, and the performance of the NGIS sector. Minimum of 10 years experience and a bachelor’s degree required. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree. Advance degree preferred. Strong communications skills, both written and verbal are critical. The position requires a TS/SCI clearance and the ability to travel as necessary. Security Clearance Required.
