SAIC Forges Cyber Education Partnership with Capella University

SAIC (NYSE: SAI) has selected Capella University, an accredited online university targeting working adults, to design an education program for its employees, according to the university.

The program will be created for SAIC employees who enroll in Capella University’s master’s degree program focusing on Information Assurance and Security.

“Cybersecurity is a high growth area for SAIC as it plays a critical role across all of the markets we serve,” said Matthew McDonald, vice president, Cyber Security and Cyber Project Management Office at SAIC. “Closely aligning our employees’ professional skills and goals with Capella University’s information assurance and security program will help enhance the cybersecurity solutions we offer to customers.”

The federal government and companies alike are looking for ways to increase the skills of the cybersecurity workforce. In the past year, a number of universities have launched cybersecurity-specific degree programs.
