Specific Job Description This is a Cyber Security Incident Response position. Successful candidate will work closely with intrusion detection analysts, IT Service Desk, IT personnel, security officers, and other stake holders to evaluate and triage IT security events. Will follow standard incident response methodologies to include developing appropriate courses of action, coordinating remediation activities, resolving incidents, reporting incident data through appropriate channels, and recommending preventative measures to reduce the likelihood of future events occurring. Candidate should have extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems and a strong understanding of a Microsoft enterprise environment. Should possess skills with log analysis, system analysis, and standard incident response techniques and basic forensic analysis and procedures.
Candidate should also possess excellent interpersonal skills and be an effective communicator by telephone, in person, and in writing. Will be a POC for incident response activities.
Additional duties include conducting research on current threat data, evaluating the organization’s present security posture, and making recommendations to reduce risks and better secure systems and networks, in addition to tracking metrics, and compiling and generating security and security compliance reports as needed by the customer. Top Secret clearance required.
