The British Royal Navy was forced to take down its website after it was compromised by hackers, the Ministry of Defence announced earlier this week, Reuters reports.

Visitors to www.royalnavy.mod.uk were greeted with a message that said, “Unfortunately the Royal Navy website is currently undergoing essential maintenance. Please visit again soon.”

A hacker may have gained access to a Louisiana state licensing database that contained the personal information of tens of thousands of emergency medical technicians, according to The Advocate.
