Lt. Gen. Harry Raduege to Speak on How to Succeed in a Cyber World

Retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Harry D. Raduege Jr., chairman of Deloitte Center for Cyber Innovation, is slated to present at the 14th Annual New York State Cyber Security Conference and 6th Annual Academic Symposium, an event that brings together cybersecurity professionals from around the New York area and throughout the Northeast region.
The conference, held in Albany June 7-8, kicks off with a keynote on federal and state cybersecurity collaboration by Roberta Stempfley, deputy assistant secretary at the Department of Homeland Security. Lt. Gov. Robert J. Duffy is scheduled to deliver opening remarks at Tuesday’s afternoon session, followed by Raduege’s presentation titled “Succeeding in a Cyber World.” The speech will focus on the state of the cybersecurity threat, the responses and how to develop a “cyber mindset.”
Raduege will also touch upon why cybersecurity is crucial to any business or government agency, as well discuss the “calls to action” various groups have issued, particularly those of the president, federal government and the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
A Cyber Summit will follow Raduege’s presentation and will feature sessions on mobile device security, cybersecurity education and awareness and cloud security, among other topics.
