CSC’s ‘Interchange’ Cybersecurity Summit Brings Together Government, Industry Leaders
To address the ever-growing problems with cyber criminals pilfering intellectual property and intruding sensitive systems, CSC (NYSE: CSC) last week hosted a cybersecurity roundtable discussion during its annual “Interchange” event in Washington, D.C., bringing together a panel of leading international government and private-sector officials.
Hosted by Michael W. Laphen, CSC president, chairman and CEO, and Sam Visner, CSC lead cyber executive, the session highlighted everything from defense and resilience to assurance and attributions. Other key takeaway points included the emergence of cloud computing, the cyber domain and public-private partnerships.
Both government and industry face an advanced and persistent cyber threat, Laphen said, and now is the time to have a more meaningful exchange of information about these problems and how they can be thwarted.
“The cybersecurity roundtable during this year’s CSC Interchange was an engaging conversation with some of the most influential cyber thought leaders from government and private sectors, and we’re committed to continuing these collaborative efforts to meet the critical cybersecurity needs of our customers,” he added.
