Lockheed Martin Launches Cybersecurity Software for Utility, Energy Sectors

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has launched a new cybersecurity product that aims to help the utility and energy industries to stay ahead of cyber threats through intelligence-driven defense.

Palisade will provide analysts with enterprisewide visibility, awareness and alerting to effectively pinpoint and thwart cybersecurity threats through advanced threat detection and forensic tools, Lockheed Martin said in a release.

“As the Smart Grid is implemented, utilities are being challenged by regulators and customers to ensure the security of new digital energy management systems,” said Rich Mahler, cybersecurity senior manager, Lockheed Martin Energy Solutions. “Our cybersecurity experts are working together with utilities to combat more advanced threats and to defend their critical networks.”

The defense contractor is also helping utilities across the nation not only integrate cybersecurity, but also improve efficiency and implement smart grid projects, he added.
