Norton’s Personalized Security Services Expected Early 2012

Norton by Symantec plans to deliver Norton One, allowing personalized protection across multiple devices, by the first half of 2012.

According to Norton research, consumers in the U.S. have an average of 4.5 devices in their household all in need of protection against online threats.

Norton One will be the first membership-based offering that will span from PC, MAC and mobile security solutions. One membership will protect an entire household of devices. Customers will be able to personalize the support they need and make easy changes to the devices covered when necessary.

“Norton continues to expand our business with our Norton Everywhere initiative, delivering solutions that are focused on the individual, wherever they go and regardless of the device they’re using,” said Janice Chaffin, group president, Consumer Business Unit, Symantec. “Norton One is a one-of-a-kind, new model that will address the security and service challenges that consumers face today.”
