SAP Creates Safer Work Environments With Solution Enhancements

SAP has a new functionality to the SAP EHS Management application giving companies better visibility across operations and allowing proactive identification of safety risks before incidents occur.

The enhancements to the application move beyond the traditional compliance reporting method by providing insight to the root cause of incidents reducing cost and improving the workplace environment. It assists companies capture, analyze and act on near-miss and incident data by tracking them through one place.

“Based on SAP EHS Management, we now have a centralized platform for running operational safety management through all our member institutes,” said Dr. Joerg Tittor, project leader, occupational safety, Max Planck Society. Max Planck Society is one of the first enterprises to make use of the incident management capabilities of SAP EHS Management.

“We can identify, investigate, correct and prevent hazardous incidents from occurring more rapidly and with fewer limitations. SAP technology is a cornerstone of what makes the Max Planck Society a safer research organization,” Tittor continued.
