McAfee to Acquire NitroSecurity
McAfee has reached a definitive agreement to acquire privately owned NitroSecurity, leading provider of security information and event management solutions. NitroSecurity’s analytical tools speed users ability to identify, correlate and remedy threats. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
Upon completion of the proposed acquisition, McAfee and NitroSecurity will combine security management capabilities giving organizations greater visibility into their endpoint assets, security threats, network infrastructure and overall IT environment vulnerabilities. Solutions will be leveraged through a single management console making enterprise software updates more rapid.
“With NitroSecurity’s technology and talent, McAfee can expand its reach into new markets, secure new platforms and strengthen its hold as the leader in the security risk management market,”said Stuart McClure, general manager and senior vice president of the Risk and Compliance business unit at McAfee.
