VMware Cloud Expert Keynotes at NetEvents 2011 EMEA Summit
During a keynote session at NetEvents 2011 EMEA summit, Joe Baguley, VMware’s chief cloud technologist EMEA, highlighted the fact that “people don’t want to manage operating systems any more.”
With an audience of C-level representatives from EMEA’s top service providers, Baguley’s keynote speech launched the second day of a 3-day conference entitled “IT’s All In The Clouds.”
Bagulay explored how virtualization in the cloud could change the way people work. Baguley pointed to the fact that future desktop operating systems will be pulled apart and pushed into the cloud to make them available anywhere on any device. That removes the need for desktops.
The Net Events EMEA is taking place in Italy. With multiple keynote speakers and attendees, the summit explores cloud to data centers and overall offers the opportunity for industry leaders to paint their IT visions.
