Oracle’s Enterprise Manager Selected by Healthcare Firm

Global Healthcare firm Cerner has recently implemented Oracle Enterprise Manager. Oracle’s solution has enabled Cerner to reduce capital investments by $9.5 million while also offering its clients a new suite of on-demand infrastructure and software including messaging, storage and virtual desktop capabilities.

Oracle Enterprise Manager’s business-driven IT management capabilities support Cerner’s Skybox public cloud solutions, which include Cerner’s Oracle Database powered Skybox DB Central offering. Skybox DB Central service extends Cerner’s internal database assets and heathcare IT expertise to their clients.

“With Skybox DB Central utilizing Oracle Enterprise Manager, we have been able to eliminate the management and maintenance challenges that would traditionally be associated with introducing a new suite of on-demand infrastructure and software services,” said Kent Scheuler, senior vice president of Managed Services with Cerner.
