IBM Sees Threats More Clearly with New Analytics Solutions

IBM has expanded its security services portfolio to include enhanced analytic tools and services to provide deeper, real-time analysis of advanced threats. Users have a more clear map of their security and be more able to analyze multiple sources’ data and determine how security measures should be adjusted.

The IBM analytics tools and services include:

  •  The Suspicious Host Dashboard, which provides real-time identification of advanced threats using in-and-outbound firewall logs, threat intelligence feeds, intrusion detection and prevention events and geographic Internet Protocol  location data.
  • IP Intelligence Report providing on-demand analysis of individual IP addresses in a consolidated report containing analysis on threats, vulnerabilities and remediation activities under way.
  • Enhanced Automated Intelligence chaining together alerts from multiple service offerings to identify sequences of activity that equate to higher severity security incidents.  
  • IP Center Dashboard, which enables faster profiling of suspected attackers.
In addition, IBM reiterated the capabilities of its new managed security information and event management solution that coincides with the acquisition of Q1 Labs. The solution uses analytics tools to provide a powerful around-the-clock security monitoring and reporting system assisting in proactively identifying and preventing threats.
