HP and Equifax have collaborated to introduce token-less authentication and online identity proofing to federal websites and create trusted credentials for the public sector.

The companies have worked together to expand HP’s cloud-based Assured Identity Plus solution with Equifax’s Anakam identity services

The identity management and security solution will enable users to not have to use tokens, smart cards or other devices for remote authentication from peronsal computers, devices or web browsers, according to an HP release.

It also gives federal agencies a more complete and remote solution to identify trusted users to NIST Level 3 user authentication.

HP’s services enable non-card carrying stakeholders and disenfranchised card users to use their card at home or at work by augmenting common access cards in accordance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12.
