Red Hat’s Fedora Makes New Open Source Offering Available

The Red Hat sponsored, open source collaboration, the Fedora Project, recently introduced its Fedora 16. The project aims to release free operating systems approximately every six months.

The company said its most recent open source offering includes enhancements in cloud computing, virtualization and the management of online services accounts.

“The open source community sets a new bar for technical excellence in the creation of this release,” said Jared Smith, leader of the Fedora Project. “The Fedora Project’s commitment to advancing free and open source software is absolutely reflected in what the community delivered in Fedora 16.”
