URS Corp.’s Apptis subsidiary has received an extension from the General Services Administration to provide agencies with cloud services through 2015, URS announced Thursday.
Apptis completed a moderate level assessment and authorization process, required by the Federal Information Security Management Act.
URS federal services President Randy Wotring said Apptis and Amazon Web Services are partnering to help agencies leverage cloud solutions.
Apptis holds a GSA blanket purchase agreement to offer infrastructure-as-a-service, storage and virtual machines to agencies.
Agencies can purchase cloud products and services on FedCloud.com, run by Apptis.
That website has interfaces for viewing information on machine status, service usage, service availability and system performance.
