Dusty Wince, KCG

KnowledgeCG and SRA International Inc. are approved to perform independent security reviews of cloud products and services in the federal government.

The General Services Administration announced the companies will perform the reviews under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.

KCG CEO Dusty Wince said in a company announcement that cloud requires diligence from both the federal government and cloud providers in securing information assets.

A review board comprised of National Institute of Standards and Technology and GSA officials selected the companies to service as third-party assessors.

FedRAMP, scheduled to launch on June 6, requires all cloud providers to work with a third-party organization to assess security of products and services as well as to confirm compliance with baseline security standards.
