Terremark is expanding its cloud capacity across North America by deploying a node at its Denver data center, the Verizon subsidiary announced Tuesday.
The subsidiary has 50 data centers around the world that have colocation and cloud technology.
Agencies and other enterprises evaluate reliability of physical infrastructure, connectivity and data space when choosing a cloud provider, said Ellen Rubin, vice president of cloud products.
In December 2011, Verizon promoted Nelson Fonseca to lead the information technology subsidiary as president and execute the parent company’s cloud strategy.
He also oversees enterprise IT infrastructure solutions for government agencies and large companies.
