DRS Technologies Inc. has developed new hardware and software for managing systems used in command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
The Parsippany, N.J.-based company said it created C4InSight Integrated C4ISR Management System to comply with U.S. Special Operation Command’s requirements for its vehicles.
The company has developed and fielded platform networking and computing technology for warfighters and first responders over the past two decades, said Mike Sarrica, vice president and general manager for tactical missions.
C4InSight is comprised of DRS’ data distribution unit and its mission command software suite, which can be employed on existing computer platforms and displays.
Commanders and platform operators can manipulate sensors, communications equipment, mission command applications, navigational devices and platform vetronics from any terminal the platform supports, the company said.
Voice and video data sourced from platform devices can also be accessed throughout the tactical network located in adjacent platforms, remote command posts, higher headquarters, and coalition partners when requested.
The company is also contracted to provide the Navy with joint platform tablet systems.
