SAIC C5ISR Division Receives 2 ISO Security Certifications

SAIC Inc.’s division that delivers command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance solutions to government agencies has received two international certifications.

The company said its defense solutions group achieved the International Organization for Standardization 9001:2008 and ISO/International Electrotechnical Commission 27001:2005 for management and oversight of information security.

All DSG locations fall under the quality management system, with 42 sites already registered and more sites planned to join the system, the company said.

ISO’s 9001:2008 standard requires firms to meet specific product and services regulations and customer satisfaction measures, while the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certificate acts as a security management system model.

The registrations were issued following audits of development, installation of information technology systems, supply chain management, network management and production disciplines across the organization.
