Raytheon Deploys New Vehicle Surveillance System To Canada; Rudolph Lewis Comments
Raytheon Co.‘s Technical Services Company LLC announced it recently introduced a new Light Armored Vehicle Reconnaissance Surveillance System prototype for the Canadian Army.
LRSS was built to suit the Canadian Army’s Light Armoured Vehicle-III.
Raytheon said the product was designed to enhance active intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions.
Rudolph Lewis, RTSC Depot Support Systems product line director said the Canadian Army will have more flexibility through mobile reconnaissance and surveillance coupled with the capability for on-board imagery exploitation and receive auto-cueing information.
LRSS supports the LAV-III to make and collect high-fidelity actionable information and immediately share ISR information to its base commander.
The system is classified as the smart node of the Canadian Intelligence Surveillance Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance enterprise.
It can also be connected with off-board sensors and unattended ground sensors through an LAV-III-mounted configuration or dismounted configuration with the help of tripods.
