General Dynamics’ information technology unit has received certification from a non-profit organization for the unit’s healthcare reporting software, the company announced Tuesday.
The National Committee for Quality Assurance gave MedMeasures version 14.0 the organization’s Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set certificate.
MedMeasures has received the NCQA’s approval for the 19th straight year, the company said, adding that 90 percent of all managed care organizations adhere to HEDIS requirement standards.
Physicians and healthcare providers use the software to combine data from administrative and medical charts.
Users do not develop and audit the software code which calculates HEDIS codes, according to the company.
The IT unit holds a position on a potential $497 million omnibus contract to support Navy medical research.
