Avaya Releases New Govt Communications System

Avaya Government Solutions announced Monday it has unveiled Government Outsourcing Solutions, a new unified communications system.

GovOS was founded on SIP-based architecture and includes a product range for consolidated communications, contact centers and data networking.

It incorporates Avaya Aura consolidated communications applications and networking.

The service is compliant with security and certification requirements under Federal Information Security Management Act with new accreditation from Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.

The new services are currently available in two structures, one as a private hosted service with local survivability under Avaya’s Government Solutions cloud-based infrastructure and a private-managed service under the business’ personal network.

Both options are now available and include a federal network operations center, which delivers support and services for new applications and existing infrastructure.

Contact center applications will be introduced to the AvayaGovOS platform before 2012 ends.
