Raytheon‘s BBN Technologies subsidiary will develop processes to integrate quantum computer functions into a single framework for an intelligence community program, the company announced Mondday.
The Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity sponsors the Quantum Computer Science program.
According to the company, the program’s goal is to further quantum computer research and development initiatives.
Quantum computers have the potential to run at faster processing speeds and improve security functions and encryption processes, the company said.
Additional program partners include NEC, the University of Waterloo and the University of Melbourne.
