SAIC Wins $37M to Support Army’s Vigilant Pursuit Intelligence Gathering Program

Science Applications International Corp. was awarded a $37 million contract to provide systems engineering services for the U.S. Army’s Vigilant Pursuit program, SC Biz News reports.

The Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate of the Army Research Development and Engineering Command selected SAIC to help improve intelligence information transfers on the battlefield.

According to the report Vigilant Pursuit aims to speed up intelligence and data gathering tasks.

Through the award, SAIC will provide the Vigilant Pursuit system design, production, testing, delivery, spares, new equipment training and field service for Army Multifunctional Teams.

The Tysons Corner, Va.-based firm will also provide tactical commanders with information and intelligence access through on-board sensors that deliver real-time data during missions.

Work under the one-year contract will be performed in Charleston; Alexandria, Va. and Aberdeen, Md., SC Biz News reports.
