Boeing has opened a new cybersecurity lab in Huntington Beach, Calif. for prototyping new information security technologies, the company announced Wednesday.
Researchers will model and simulate missions and advanced threats to create security solutions at the lab.
The Huntington Beach lab continues the company’s expansion of efforts to develop and deliver technologies for customers’ cyber operations, said Per Beith, director of information security solutions.
He added the company has increased its investment in cybersecurity research and development over the past several years, including a new cyber engagement center in Maryland and several acquisitions.
Last year, Chris Raymond, a vice president of business development and strategy, said at the Paris Air Show that the company saw cybersecurity as a growth area.
