Raytheon Delivers 300th F-18 Avionics System

Raytheon Co. has hit delivery and operational milestones for its F/A-18 avionics systems, the company announced Monday.

The Waltham, Ma.-based contractor delivered its 300th active electronically scanned array radar to Boeing for integration with F/A-18E/F Super Hornets and EA-18G Growlers.

Raytheon also announced the delivery of the 600th ALR-67(V)3 radar warning receiver, which is a part of the Super Hornet’s electronic warfare self-defense system.

The company’s Advanced Targeting Forward Looking Infrared pod, used for all-weather information support for the Super Hornet, also reached one million flight hours.

In early March, the Navy awarded Raytheon a $45 million contract modification to provide aircraft radars.
