Science Applications International Corp. has won a $9.7 million delivery order to provide the U.S. Navy with mine warfare environmental aids and library, the Defense Department announced Friday.
The mine warfare environmental aids and library provides a single tool for effective mine warfare command and control capability for mine warfare commanders and forces.
The Department of Defense said the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract has a ceiling of $13.5 million.
Ninety percent of work will occur in McLean, Va., with the rest in San Diego, Calif.; Norfolk, Va.; and Stennis Space Center, Miss.
The Pentagon expects work to be completed by September 2013.
The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington D.C. is the contracting activity.
