NetApp and nPulse Technologies have launched a packet capture solution for cyber workers to keep records of captured and stored packets as part of network security.
NetApp said the public and private sectors will use the solution to maintain encrypted database for packets and flow data.
nPulse CEO Timothy Sullivan said in a release big data systems at both companies and agencies’ will have secured access to packet data.
Sullivan added that the stored packets are presented in standard pcap format, which cyber workers will use to find and combat cyber attacks.
NetApp also announced Public Sector President Mark Weber has launched the company’s U.S. Public Sector Alliance Program to promote interoperable cyber solutions for storage, virtualization and big data technologies of the company.
