General Dynamics Fidelis Subsidiary Develops Metadata Scanning Program; Peter George Comments

Fidelis Security Systems released a cybersecurity program that stores and scans metadata for viruses or attacks, the company announced Wednesday.
General Dynamics recently closed its acquisition of Fidelis and integrated Fidelis into the advanced information systems unit.

The Fidelis XPS™ Collector is for cybersecurity experts to evaluate all session metadata, regardless of whether or not it was previously identified as malicious.
Fidelis Security Systems President Peter George said the company wants the Collector’s query and correlation features to help security experts understand threats or attacks on their systems.
The Fidelis XPS Collector works with Fidelis XPS sensors and Fidelis XPS CommandPost.
Some of the Collector’s other features include network forensics and cloud services security.
