Raytheon will build 26 new radar warning receivers for the U.S. Navy, the Defense Department announced Friday.
The company won a $23,183,614 contract modification for the AN/ALR-67(V)3 radar warning receivers and the contract also covers the purchase of four countermeasure signal processor weapons replacement assemblies for Switzerland under a foreign military sales agreement.
According to the company, the AN/ALR-67(V)3 is the Navy’s system of record radar warning receiver for carrier-based F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet jet.
The Navy uses the channelized receiver architecture for detecting emitters in high-pulse density, as well as interception of faint distant signals despite interference from strong nearby transmitters.
The Naval Air Systems Command at Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.
