General Dynamics will provide the U.S. Navy engineering services and production work on upgraded hardware and software for a sonar system, the Defense Department said Friday.
The company’s advanced information systems unit won a $28,194,504 modification to support the Multipurpose Processor and Total Ship Monitoring System.
GDAIS will develop and produce upgrades to hardware and software for integration into the Acoustic Rapid Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Insertion System.
Work will occur Pittsfield, Mass. through February 2014 and the Naval Sea Systems Command is the contracting activity.
The Navy is obligating $7,165,168 at the time of award and $63,795 of those funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
