German Rail Firm Fined $1.65M For Spying On Employees

The German railway firm Deutsche Bahn has received a $1.65 million fine from the Berlin Data Commission for 10 years of  employee data breaches, including spying on staff through personal email. Bill to Increase DHS Funding for Cyber

Congress has approved a bill increasing the Department of Homeland Security’s budget by 6.6 percent for 2010. The bill includes an 27 percent increase for cyber security.

Second Cyber Security Firm Acquired by Alabama’s Camber Corporation In The Last Month

What happens to previous administration websites once a new administration moves into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue? Most government websites are promptly  deleted from the world wide web; causing final destruction of former administration  information and documents.

NASA Estimates $4 Billion For 2010 IT Contracts

NASA is revamping its IT and data services through 5 projects for its Information Technology Infracture Integration Program (I3P). The 5 contracts are worth an estimated $4.28 billion total, according to one analyst from the market research firm INPUT. The contracts will be awarded by May and June of next year. The projects will combine current NASA contracts, including the Outsourcing Desktop Initiative (ODIN) and Unified NASA Information Technology Services (UNITeS).
