Verizon to Migrate National Guard’s Primary Comm. Network to IP Backbone

Verizon will soon migrate the National Guard Bureau‘s primary communications network to a private Verizon Internet protocol network, which will connect more than 100 National Guard locations in 54 states and territories.

The company indicated it will also upgrade and modernize GuardNet to serve as a platform for new IP-based applications.
