Raytheon will open a public safety technology research center Monday in Downey, Calif., near Los Angeles.
Raytheon said the center will focus on developing open architecture and open communications standards to assist public safety agencies in their daily operations and incident response processes.

Raytheon‘s vision systems business unit is working to expand the accessibility of thermal imaging cameras by making them available via multiple mobile devices.

Raytheon Company has grabbed another cybersecurity company with the acquisition of Pikewerks Corporation.

Raytheon has successfully tested a mobile satellite terminal, commonly referred to as SMART-T, with an advanced extremely-high frequency satellite, the company announced last week.
