Research Looks to Remove Mysticism from DDoS

Researchers at Team Cymru, an Internet security research organization, is publishing a four part series that looks to explain how and why distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks occur. While larger companies, particularly ISPs are able to access reports from larger monitoring firms, smaller businesses do not have a source for information, which is the gap that Team Cymru’s reports hope to fill.
